The first European title of the day - the KZ2 final is about to start. Kokko, Federer, Da Silva, the top 3 of the prefinal have certainly demonstrated great potential, but it would be surprising if the order did not change decisively in the race. The start would play a key role in the story. After a long wait on the dummy grid, the silence was finally broken by the delicious mechanical crackle. Everything was going relatively well at the start: Fabian Federer (CRG / TM) got away perfectly, Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) grabbed second place by the end of the 1st lap by beating Henri Kokko (Ninar / TM) . Clement Da Silva lost all chance at the first corner. Tilloca did not complete a lap. Kristijian Habulin CRG / Maxter) replaced Kokko in 3rd position, Wernersson advanced to 5th, Celenta was 6th and Torsellini 7th. Starting from the last row, Alexander Arrue had already recovered to 11th on the 5th lap. Federer built up a gap while Johansson needed to be wary of Habulin and Kokko. Johansson lost two places in favor of Habulin and Kokko as expected. Federer did not let up and was in the lead by more than 3 seconds at the halfway point. There were only 20 drivers left on track. Johansson attacked Habulin and took 3rd place behind Kokko. Torsellini returned to fourth while Lucati took the lead on the heels of Celenta and Habulin, and Celenta but quickly recovered his 6th place. On lap 19, Johansson attacked Kokko who seemed to soften. Torsellini would overtake soon. The podium was emerging with a victory for Federer, and Johansson and Torsellini on the 2nd and 3rd steps. Torsellini would like to exchange his 3rd place for the 2nd from Johansson. The last lap would decide. Johansson responded and kept the advantage until the finish. The Italian Fabian Federer (CRG / TM) won the KZ2 European Championship ahead of the Swede Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) and another Italian, Mirko Torsellini (CRG / Maxter). Kokko finished 4th, Habulin 5th, Celenta 6th and Lucati 7th. Arrue was 10th before losing a place to finish 11th as the top French driver. Chris Benoit (Birel / TM) was 13th and finally Clement Da Silva came back to 17th.
